Held Close

Held Close is a candle shaped like the thing it's named for. The anatomical heart form is finished in a deep, glossy red, its sculpted vessels and curves catching the light. The top lifts away as a lid, revealing a natural soy candle set inside — so the piece works as an object first, and a candle second.

A wooden wick gives a soft, gentle crackle as it burns. Each heart is cast and finished entirely by hand in our studio in Porto, which means small variations in form and glaze from one piece to the next. It arrives ready to gift — a striking, slightly unexpected present for someone who appreciates objects with feeling.
