Azulejo Heart

An anatomical heart in white composite, dressed in an azulejo pattern of cobalt blue — the very blue that lives on the walls and portals of Portugal. Fine golden veins are painted across the surface by hand: they run like veins and catch the light. Inside is a hand-poured candle with a warm, enveloping scent, kept under a removable lid. An object where craft meets symbol — a piece with a story.
